The Los Angeles Fire Department has just revealed their latest addition to their vehicular fleet!
The Rosenbauer Concept Fire Truck will cost the city about as much as a McLaren Senna hypercar. The electric fire truck is powered by two batteries with 100 kilowatt-hours of capacity, which should keep the truck running for two hours before the diesel engine is needed.
Aside from its benefits of preserving the environment, the hybrid trucks are narrower than previous models, and are said to handle better, and more adjustabe ride heights to commute across the city. The CFT has four-wheel drive, haptic feedback in the driver’s seat to alert of potential problems, and the interior can be equipped with a wide variety of communications technologies.
