We are weeks away from the 54th Super Bowl. The game is scheduled to be played on February 2, 2020, at Hard Rock Stadium in Miami Gardens, Florida. Take a look at a few places where the L.A. locals can celebrate and enjoy with friends!
If you want the special kind of Super Bowl Sunday only the South Bay can provide, head to this reliable sports bar in Manhattan Beach that’s sure to get, well, lively. A $40 cover will get you inside, and provides access to an all-night open bar. In addition to its 50+ LCD TVs with surround sound, there will be food specials and a raffle — no word on the prizes, but does it really matter? Buy a spot ahead of time.
The sophisticated sports bars with tons of screens and a patio is keeping things nonpartisan with food and drink specials for fans on both sides of the aisle, including a bacon-wrapped hot dog paired with a pint of Angeleno IPA ($18) for Rams fans, and New England clam chowder with a Sam Adams pint ($16) for the other people. There’s no cover here, and you can expect lots of drinks with cheeky, team-themed names like the Irish whiskey-based Pot O’ Goffee, a Cosmo-esque Gurley Drink.
Marina del Rey
The turtles will be resting during the game at this longstanding Lincoln Boulevard bar that got a serious makeover by Artisanal Brewers Collective more than year ago, but you won’t be. Watch all the action on the venue’s 17 screens, including a big-screen projector outside on the patio and get in on $15 pitchers of “house beer” and $5 Jameson shots during the game.
