Earlier this month, Subway announced a multi-million-dollar grant program that will help refresh their U.S. locations!
Subway is partnering with vendors to provide $10,000 grants to operators to speed up the Fresh Forward program and Fresh Start rollouts. Subway will provide $100 million to franchisees as they are distributing $10,000 grants to operators which is about a quarter of the remodeling costs.

The Fresh Forward program is where the efforts are placed the most. Subway will include an updated package, complete with fresh vegetable display case, bold “S” choice mark logo, bright color palette, digital menu boards, and kiosks in some stores. On the other hand, the Fresh Now program has helped bring new employee uniforms and menu boards into restaurants, and focuses heavily on food choices over décor.

Correspondingly, Subway created three goals that they are expecting to achieve in a couple of years: updating their restaurant redesigns; menu innovations; and better convenience and customer service elements.
