Chick-fil-A’s success has been derived from two simple things – food and customer service. And in most recent years, Chick-fil-A has grown significantly as it is now the third-largest restaurant chain in the U.S.
Chick-fil-A as first founded in 1946 by S. Truett Cathy and ever since they opened their first location, Cathy established the vision of being an establishment that not only sold chicken but also one that would become a part of their customers’ lives and the communities that they serve. Recently, the demand for Chick-fil-A has been evident as its mobile app has gained more than 10 million downloads in less than two years. This restaurant chain excels in food and service which is what has set them apart from other competitors. Chick-fil-A goes beyond new product introductions as they were one of the first restaurant chains to stop sourcing chicken that was treated with antibiotics, as well as introducing gluten-free buns, and adding grilled chicken nuggets to the kid’s menu.
Chick-fil-A continues to soar past Wendy’s, Burger King, Taco Bell, and Subway. On average, Chick-fil-A locations brought in $4.6 million in annual sales in 2018 which is up from $4.2 million in 2017! Systemwide, Chick-fil-A has created $10.46 billion in the U.S., according to Nation’s Restaurant News analysis. If they continue at this rate, they might be able to reach the $30 billion mark which would put them ahead of Starbucks!
