Downtown L.A. is filled with coffee shops on every street corner whether it be Starbucks or a standalone shop. Now, Stumptown Coffee Roasters cafe is the newest addition in our neighborhood!
This month Stumptown Coffee Roaster’s opened their new shop in the heart of Los Angeles, marking its 12th location. The Portland-based company has a standard menu of espresso drinks, single-origin pour overs, and various Stumptown cold brew offerings with a variety of pastries. Stumptown does an amazing job finding the best coffee in the most remote places.
The team visits every coffee producer as often as possible, and constantly roast and taste the coffee as they form long-term partnerships. They routinely pay producers up to four times what they could get for their crop on the commodity market. Essentially, Stumptown Roasters wants to help farms become sustainable and wants to help set up strong businesses that build up their communities and produce the highest-quality coffee possible year after year!
Not only are they making an impact with their coffee producers, but also in the neighborhoods where they open a new shop. Stumptown has announced that all opening day profits would be donated to the California immigrants rights organization CHIRLA, and they are also considering a partnership with the Midnight Mission!
