As everyone is busy living their own lives with work or school, it’s important to take a step back and see if you are shaping to be the person you want to be. There are always opportunities readily available in your everyday life where you can learn to be a better person for yourself and for those around you.
For starters, there’s always going to be a situation or person that can cause you to harbor some level of anger. But, you need to learn to stop that from affecting the rest of your day. Besides, in a week, month, or year, that problematic situation would most likely not have mattered at all. Don’t let one situation affect the way you treat others and the way you handle yourself for the rest of your life.
Also, it’s important to know the value of your time and attention. Aim on seeking experiences that benefit you whether it be traveling, visiting your family, or watching a movie. It’s these experiences that will shape who you are destined to be.
Moreover, be authentic. At some point your second personality will show if you start on the wrong foot. You are doing the most harm in pretending to be someone your’re not, so be genuine on the outside, towards others, and as you want to perceive yourself.
Last but not least, taking the time to volunteer your time and skills are a great way to spread positivity where its often needed most. As Ghandhi once said, “The best way to find yourself is to lose yourself in the service of others.”
