Microsoft and Kroger are one step closer to bringing Amazon some competition in the grocery store industry!
Microsoft announced on Monday that they will be creating their very own pilot store to help save shoppers time.
Customers will be able to use Kroger’s Scan, Bag, Go self-checkout app. The app will work with cloud-based software and sensors in the store to guide them around as they check off items!
Moreover, shelves at the two tech-enhances stores will look much different than traditional stores. Instead of paper tags, they will be digital which helps create advertising space!
Microsoft and Kroger plan to sell this new technology to retailers in the United States and around the world in the near future.
