The Music Center’s Dance DTLA
A summer favorite now in its 14th year continues this Friday evening in DTLA! The Music Center presents an evening of dancing under the stars as guests can learn new dance moves from the different dance genres depending on the night. From Salsa to Disco and Bollywood, Dance Downtown welcomes anyone who loves to dance and learn some new moves in the heart of LA’s civic center. This Friday is DJ Night and it is completely free and open to all ages.
John William: Maestro of the Movies
John Williams, Hollywood’s beloved master of cinematic scores, celebrates the 40th anniversary of his Hollywood Bowl debut with an evening of some of his biggest movie hits, including some selections performed with film clips. David Newman will return to lead the Los Angeles Philharmonic in the first half of all three performances. It’s an unforgettable concert you won’t want to miss!
L.A. County Fair
The L.A. County Fair starts this weekend through the month of September. The L.A. County Fair will be featuring live music, rides, livestock shows, gardening demonstrations, and hundreds of gadgets to discover. The fair takes place at the Fairplex in Pomona and admission ranges from $12 to $20 per person, but you can also get a season pass if you plan to visit more than one day.
L.A. Times: The Taste
The Taste returns this year to Paramount, CA where guests can sample some of the best food and wine that L.A. has to offer. Various L.A. Times editors and writers will host daily panel discussions and demonstrations on topics from farm-to-table cuisine to how to mix the perfect cocktail. Tickets range from $95 to $165 and allow you to fully indulge in the cuisine being offered as well as the seminars.
