Paraná Empanadas which first opened as a local farmer’s market vendor in 2010, and has grown into their first location at Liberty Public Market and recently opened their second location at the Westfield UTC. Lucia Landman and her family that moved from Argentina 17 years ago have created a menu of fresh-baked empanadas stuffed with everything from chipotle chicken to a blend of cheese or a mix of mushrooms. They are also known for their other options like chimichurri sauces, yerba mate drinks, and dulce de leche-based desserts. Paraná’s goal is to make you feel in Argentina every time you take a bite of an empanada with chimichurri sauce, a dulce de leche alfajor, and yerba mate drink.
La Colombe is one of the country’s largest independent coffee roasters, serving signature blends and exceptional single-origin coffees. Todd Carmichael first opened the first La Combe cafe in 1994 in Philadelphia and has now grown to over 750 employees and 26 cafes in five cities, as well as distributes its coffee to 3,500 restaurants, hotels, cafes, and retailers, and operates an online store. Within months of announcing a Draft Latte brand, La Combe became the country’s fastest-growing ready-to-drink coffee beverage as they had produced more than 6 million cans last year. This restaurant combines nutrient-rich ingredients with a flavor-forward menu that rotates regularly to let guests experience great-tasting ingredients at the peak of their freshness. Great Maple is a modern American eatery specializing in elevated comfort food with a twist. Owner Johnny Rivera launched Great Maple in San Diego in 2013, and described his establishment as a “European dinette,” but now reflects the modern American Eatery.
